I recently bought more lotus for my 47 tall, red and green. I have one red one in there already, fully established. These bulbs came in with no sprouts, just like my original one. I planted them straight into the tank, just like my original one. A week went by and no little shoots.

The culprit. Hungry pleco. I THINK. I am blaming it on him because he never gets blamed for anything else that happens in that tank.

Any thoughts??

Well, if the bulbs are still in there and you see no shoots then it could be just slow bulbs or dead ones. Pull them up and see if they are growing and if they are, replant them. If not, you may need to replace them.

i find shrimp to be shoot eaters. put the bulb in a cup of tank water, change it every couple fo days, you'll have a start.
