I have a marineland double bright led light on my 29 gal tank I consider this to be low lighting on this 29 gal because of the depth. My question is if I leave the light on for 6-8hrs and consider this low light, can I leave the light on for 12-14 hrs and consider this med. light?
Thank you

Leaving lighting on longer doesn't change the fact that it's still low light. But I've found that I can often run my low light tanks longer without algae issues. You can try 8 hours for awhile and if you don't get algae then bump it up by 30 minutes every 2 weeks. If you start seeing algae then back it down by 30 minutes and you'll have the amount of time you can safely run the tank algae free. I wouldn't go more than 12 hours daily even if there is no algae at a longer time.
