I have 2 tanks. A 30 gallon and 29 gallon. They are both very low light one bulb tanks.

My question is that would it be ok if I put water lettuce or frog bit in them or would that cause to much shade and kill the other plants sense it's a low light set up???

Most likely too much shade. What other plants do you have? What type of lighting (T5, T8, etc.)?

29 gallon:
1 radical sword
1 amazon sword
Some Italian Val's
Dwarf sag
1 moss ball
Some ludwigia
2 anubias
Some java fern

1 flora sun t8 bulb

30 gallon:
1 very large amazon sword
1 small amazon sword
1 moss ball
1 water wisteria
Some Italian val
1 Anubias
Some java fern

1 color spectrum t8

Keep it thinned out and it will not bother most plants. I have the same size tank planted with a variety of low, medium, and higher light plants and water lettuce. My plants are doing fine even when the water lettuce over takes my tank. I just move it around to let the plants get some light. It is best to keep it thinned down though.
