and I have a question *imagine that*

I currently have 2.9 wpg, normal 24" high tank. The pc lamps are 6700K, 10,000K and 2 actinic bulbs.
You mention actinic lamps are near useless for planted tanks and I do have some red and pink plants I want to get a lot of color from so... should I add another 2 wpg of a specialty lamp to get to 4 wpg? 3.5 wpg ?

Thx,

dave

I was thinking..
Can I change the pc lamps that are in there now from actinic to 6700 & 10,000K. That would give me 2.9 wpg of good light.

You can change the bulbs mine came with a actnic bulb and a daylight bulb. I just took out the actnic and put in another daylight bulb. Fixture has been running great.
