Metal Halides any good?

I was wondering if MH lights are quality for planted tanks, i like the look of them but it seems that the Kalvin is high on them but they pump out a lot of watts and light.

And if they are good does anyone know a good system?

Metal Halides are available in a variety of Kelvin ratings. However, the fixtures are expensive and the bulbs are too, unless you buy them at an industrial electrical/lighting store. Even then they are pricey. They will grow plants, but at this point in time you would probably be better going with a T5 HO or VHO system.

Cool ya I have T5HOs right now so I'll just stick with that
