I saw someone's post here about the fact that spider plants are submesable, so I stuck mine in my tank, and it has been over 24 hours and my snails haven't touched it! I put hornwort in, and within a few minutes they were all over them. yaay!

also, the plant has a much nicer green color in the tank than it did outside the tank.

Id like to see a spider plant submerged. Pothos has been known to grow sumberged, but it propagates as a cutting in water. Too much water for a spider plant makes it rot. Just a thought.
 
I think if you have a big spider plant above your aquarium you could let the babies on stalks dangle on the waters surface & they would love it.
