Monosolenium tenerum

Hope this is the right place to post this. But anyway having some trouble with Monosolenium tenerum. It won't grow. It's not dyeing or anything like that just won't grow. I've tried in full water, partial and now at all but now new growth. The only thing I have been able to do is not kill it but the fish are slowly eating it away and I only have a very little bit left. Is there anything I can do to bring this one back?

Tell us more about the tank. In particular, are you using Excel?

No excel. But it's not just one tank I have some in a 55g with fish.10g with no fish currently. 4 small containers one full water and one just barely coving it both in full light. Other 2 are same for water but partial light. I'm even willing to try some in really moist soil/sand. Not sure what to do.
