mulm
Okay, so I've got a planted tank and plenty of mulm happening at the moment. From what I've read though, mulm is a) beneficial to a planted tank b) will decompose naturally c) is preferred by kuhli's.
So, my question would then be how important is regular gravel (sand) vacuuming? Pros and cons anyone? |

Vacuum any excess mulm off the surface, and you may also gravel vac any areas that aren't planted. Leave the rest to the plants.

I vaccum all the mulm that I can see that isn't caught in the plants.
