Aquarium Advice Freak
Hello all! I haven't been around for a while and for that I'm sorry. I doubt many people remember me anyway, so no great loss! At any rate, I'm back and thought I'd show off my tanks.
My first and main tank is a 36g community. It didn't start out planted and so it just has regular gravel as substrate. I use root tabs and dose with Flourish every 4 days or so. It'll be getting a major re-scape in a few weeks because I'm not particularly happy with it and there's an auction coming up. CHEAP NEW PLANTS!
Inhabitants include these lovely fellows:
My second tank is a 3g nano housing a breeding colony of blue velvet shrimp. It's pretty full at the moment so I'll be selling off quite a few at our aquaria society meeting next week.
Some shrimp photos:
My third tank is a 10g nano community. It's stocked with yellow jacket endlers, ruby tetras, and a few otos. They're all so lively!
The fourth tank I set up is divided for 3 male bettas; a delta tail, halfmoon, and crowntail. I made the dividers myself with craft mesh and report cover spines.
Here are my "fish puppies", as I like to call them. They really are like tiny aquatic dogs!
Lastly (and actually least at this point) is a 30g tank that I'm hoping to breed my orange laser cories in, once I get some more to bolster their numbers. It's incomplete at the moment, but here's what I've got set up:
One of the cories in question:
Oh, and a random bonus - the tank I set up for my mother's birthday. It's my favourite tank that I've ever done and sadly isn't even my own!
This hobby is so addictive!
