Could be fanwort. The ones I picked up look just like it. Google fanwort and do a comparison

I bought a bunch and i keep looking at the list.. Hornwort is on list

It looks like both! When you google fanwort, it says its invasive.. Any truth to that?

Don't know much about hornwort but I'm guessing fanwort is a similar species and yes fanwort is invasive to a few states. It's illegal to own in 2 states not sure which 2 but it's native to the southern states

I'm sure it can be if left unchecked. If trimmed every so often then no. It's a good plant to absorb a lot from the water column. If u have a lot of plants that absorb nutrients threw the water column then I would look into liquid ferts for them or keeping in a seperate tank. Very adaptable plant I have found

That's not hornwort, it's cabomba.

The scientific name for fanwort is cabomba caroliniana I believe
