I have 2 African spears but they aren't talk enough for my gourami. I was wondering what a good plant would be that would float on top so he can have some cover

Easiest, but a lot of people consider it an eyesore is duckweed and also water sprite. Java moss is another good one

I like frogbit as well. My favorite is banana plant though. Under the right conditions, it will shoot up lillies. A note about duckweed - very fast growing and difficult to get rid off. It will shadow a tank very quickly if it gets out of hand.

Can't go wrong with frogbit or dwarf water lettuce. Just make sure there isn't a ton of surface agitation.

From looking online I like the dwarf water lettuce. Anyone know a good site to buy it from?

I agree on the frogbit and water lettuce. I use frogbit in my 55g nano fish tank and it is very attractive and easy to control.

Thank you guys! Bought this:
