im starting a 29g fw
*aquaclear 70
*coralife dual t5 fixture

so gravel or some kind of mix I want a light spread of plants and like I said never had a tank before period ...and when I start cycling I want to dose with ammonia do I wait rill cycled to put in plants or put them in from the start ....or should I just go plastic lol
oh the fixture came with a 10,000 k 31w and a actinic 31 w should I use different bulbs

Actinic bulbs are worthless in freshwater.

you can put the plants in whenever you want to, and with a T5 fixture if your going to have the lights on alot i would get live plants otherwise you might find yourself with an algae problem

Your lights are fine for live plants. They look way better than fake ones
