Aquarium Advice Freak
So I bought a number of new plants a couple of weeks ago and I know that plants will often melt some old leaves and regrow new ones, but my new plants didn't really melt this time. Instead a number of the old leaves yellowed and began browning. I do have root tabs and dose ferts in the water so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a fert issue. Do plants do that in new tanks as they acclimate? None of the new growth has anything wrong with the leaves, all green and healthy. Also, I trimmed off most of the old leaves when I noticed the coloring getting bad. That helps promote new growth right?
