New planted tank

Best lighting and best substrate for 100 gal planted tank. What are your thoughts on planted with gravel? I don't like the gravel with the dirt underneath so it can't be both for me. What are your thoughts?

Depends on what you want to grow. I commented on your other post as well.

In mine I have sand and supplement with osmocote root tabs every 2 months. I'm not a fan of gravel either.
