Does anyone know of any plants that feed mostly off the water instead from the roots. I need to fill up my 29 gal with plants before I add more fish. The tank has a DIY Co2 system but not a very bright light im going to get a brighter one soon. Thanks!

I have plenty of java fern lol. Could someone post what those plants look like

Most stem plants feed from the water column. ie. Cabomba, Ludwigias, Hygrophilias, Limnophilias, Anacharis, Water Wisteria, Myriophylum, Bacopas, most any plant that does not have a root crown at the bottom like sword plants do. OS.

The crown is where the newly formed leafs come out of and it is healthier for most plants for this part to be above the substrate. Stem plants don't have this some examples of plants that have it are crypts, swords, and sagittarias.
