I'm setting up my new planted tank. And also my first planted tank. I'm going to be ordering some plants on line, but I got my soil and a Marimo moss ball and dwarf hair grass today at my lfs so I can have something in it. How do I plant the dwarf hair grass?

There a a few methods. You can just plant the clump, separate it up into smaller clumps and plant or separate it into 2-3 leaves (with roots) and plant. The latter is easier with tweezers. There are heaps of instructional videos in YouTube.
Just set up my new 10 gallon planted tank.
First time I've ever had plants before. Right now I've got some dwarf hair grass spread out around and in the third picture I don't know what that is but I found it in my neighborhood pond while I was getting those rocks. If anybody knows what it is I would love to find out!

Be careful throwing in plants from "the wild". Perhaps next time google plant dip.
You can get Planaria or other nasties.
