Hey everyone I just went out a purchased some live plants for the first time ever and I need a little help, I have an Anubias, cryptocorine, and a sword. After I bought them I took them home and popped them out of the pots and put them in my gravel and had a hard time getting them to stay down, also I did my best to cover all the roots but some are sticking out of the gravel, is this ok? Sorry I am such a newb with planted tanks!

I have tonsss of crypts in my tank. IMO they should be fine if a couple of roots are sticking up here or there, usually they make there way back into the substrate.

Almost any plant with their roots sticking out of the ground partially will survive. Sometimes the roots grow out then back into the soil on their own. I've had many plants that are supposed to be rooted to the substrate, floating in a breeder box or something like that and they grow and spread fine.
