Newbie plant question

I just got a potted sword should it be left in the black pot or taken out?
This is my first live plant.

Remove it from the pot and remove as much of the fiber as you can before planting. Also if the roots are really long and growing out of the pot trim them down to being even with the pot bottom.

Either

I KNOW SOME PEOPLE WHO LEAVE POTTED PLANTS IN THE POT BUT I tend to remove them. I will be fine either way.
