Nitrate Test

Will ferts throw off the API nitrate test? I just did a massive water change and my nitrates tested rather high, but I dosed with ferts prior to testing. Did I skew the test by dosing with ferts?

If you dose nitrogen or kno3 than absolutely. .

You should be able to check the bottle to see if there's nitrates in it (if that's what you're using).
