The black marble angel, keyhole and bolivian ram are all in the tank now. I'm still acclimating the chocolate gourami though. He'll be in soon though. They are all juveniles. The angels body is a little bigger than a quarter, the keyhole is smaller than my cories and the ram is about 2''. I'll have pictures tomorrow morning because the ram and keyhole were extremely stressed so i will leave the lights off overnight.

I'm still having trouble IDing the plants but i think i have an idea. I think the reddish plant from picture 1 is Alternanthera. I think in picture 2 on the left is Aponogeton crispus and the one on the right is wisteria. Are they? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some pictures!!!!

Ok some bad news. It seems as if the keyhole has ich. He was fine at the store and yesterday night. I guess the stress got to him. I believe this is the first time I've ever had a fish get ich :( Anyways I checked all the fish and they all seem fine apart from a penguin that is a little lethargic. I think he's being abused by the others. So I raised my temp to 82-84F an I'll raise it to 86F before bed. I've read/told that ich dies at 86F.

On a good note the chocolate gourami, angel and ram are all fine. Personality is really coming out.

Yay light fixture came in! Going to get the black background now. More pics later.

Wow soooo much brighter :D lol I'm really happy with www.fishneedit.com. Shipping only took a week and the only problem(which wasn't really a problem) was a loose wire that literally took 30 seconds to fix.

definitely :D just hate having to wake up so early so i don't miss the package

haha fed the new fish bloodworms for the first time. The devoured them lol i even put some blanched cucumber for the otos and cories and it seems as though the otos prefer bloodworms.

Plants came in and i'm very happy with the outcome! He gave me so much java fern i took some and put it in the driftwood before putting the rest into my other tank. Also do i need more hairgrass if i want it to start carpeting?

The rivularis seems pretty bad but i think i can bring it back.

Thanks :D you think that plant will recover?

On a side note i need my inverts  I'm thinking 3 nerites and an apple snail and 3-5 bamboo shrimp. I figure at 2-3 inches the bamboo shrimp won't be food for the angel once fully grown.

I'm not familar with that particular plant, but it looks like it will be just fine. Just snip off whatever looks brown/dead. bamboo shrimp should be fine..honestly even smaller shrimp should be able to survive if you have enough hiding places/once you have good foreground cover.

I'm not a fan of apple snails/mystery snails, although some do love them. I have just three nerites in my 50 gal and they do a pretty good job. :)

I just like how big they get  Pretty cool seeing a gold ball sized snail cruise its way around your tank.

Just thought i'd update. Everything is growing nicely but i'm still battling ich. The only fish that seems to have it is the chocolate gourami and its not going away.
