Pearling

I turn my lights on about 9:00 am and the plants start pearling about 12:00 pm.

Is this because the tank O2 level takes that long to make the saturation point or does it take that long for the plants to start photosynthesizing?

pearling is all about O2 saturation. It does take plants a little while to kick into full photosynthesis, but not a full 3 hours. (i wanna say the average is 60-90 minutes, as different plant species all behave differently) So its a combination really...about half the time to get into full gear photosynthesis, and the rest is just building up to oxygen saturation.
