Three week rescape update. Plants are doing OK. The macrandra is not doing so good so I trimmed the good bits and replanted. Also trimmed the limno and replanted the good stems. Also added some plants from my holding tank. Ludwigia and cabomba, and add fissidens rocks. The BBA on the anubias is almost gone. I also installed a mini co2 system, I forgot I won from Mass aquariums. It's the St international system so far so good. Oh and rip to my s type neon tetra.

Just don't over do it. That tank should last you a long time. At least you can see the direction of dots on the fine adjustment knob. My setup, due to the proximity of the cabinet, has the regulator in such a way that I can't always tell if I'm increasing or decreasing that very touchy adjustment knob. So of course I turn it the wrong way when adjusting it.
You may want to swap out the air line tubing with CO2 tubing. Granted, it is less flexible and may be harder to work with, but it won't kink and should prevent in line CO2 loss.

What regulator is that pitt? I just got my 20# cylinder and am about ready to take the Co2 jump.

The 5lbs tank does last quite a bit. My last tank lasted 8 months. I 've thought about using co2 tubing, but I've been using what I had laying around to save. It's a recurring theme in my fish keeping endeavor. I my need to invest in some.

I'm running an aquatek AQT-REG. It's aquatek's least expensive dual gauge regulator.

Quick pic before lights out. Still deciding on foreground plant dhg, dbt, glosso, Monte Carlo. Something I haven't done. Whatever I choose, also change the substrate in the foreground to something finer.

Looks like a full rebound Pitt...I'm between the dhg & the monte carlo for that foreground..Might try the monte carlo in the 40b myself..

sit in silence...

Tank is turning around nicely. I'm happy so far with the results but the foreground is bothering me, but I want to do it right, so I might wait to see your new tank up.
