Alright thanks very much c: I have another quesion. While I'm running the tank so I can get the fish should the plants be in there?

Yes. Most snails only eat dead leaves. Bettas love live plants, esp if they can lay on them at times.

Plants are a good thing ?

So it would be best to add the snails in once the plants grow a bit so that there is stuff that they can eat?

I actually have no idea. I don't know what they are called, they are just at my lfs.

Nerites are good because they are very effective for removing algae and they don't reproduce in freshwater.

You said something about getting goldfish right? I don't know if you know this or not but goldfish will sometimes eat plants

I don't think I'm getting a goldfish anymore, and Ya those were the snails I saw.

I believe those are crypts. If they aren't than dwarf sage but the owner of the tank will inform u
