I recently got this plant from Austin b. (thanks again!!! ) and we are not sure what it is. Anybody have an idea? Maybe some type of anubias?

Looks kinda like crypt pontiderifolia to me. It's hard to tell from the pics. Maybe a different angle would help. :)
 
I tried rearranging it and this leaf came off :( but i got these pictures so i hope these help

From those pics it most definitely looks like an anubias.

They don't tend to do too well with the rhizome buried in the substrate. You can try attaching the plant to driftwood or other decor. As long as the rhizome looks intact, the leaves should regrow.
 
This is what the roots look llike. Still anubias?
