Hey, I got this plant when I got some java fern. can anybody tell me what it is? Also it seems that there are some tiny white flakes on the tank. Does anybody know what those could be from?

Thank You

Hecurcia I think you may be right. Those are some cool looking plants and mine is growing fast so I'm pretty excited.

It could either be the narrow leaf giant or the compacta variation. I used to have the giant but it didn't survive when I moved to a new house. But I still have the compact var.

They are probably worth about $4 per rooted plant ( perhaps 5 stems). They are easy to grown tall under medium light but under high light they tend to get algae on the leaves ( if ferts are offset)They are also very potassium hungry plants as they can easily present holes on leaves.
