Hmm. I didn't realize I hadn't written about the second picture. Labeled as Asian water fern. It doesn't look like bolbitis heteroclita. It looks more like java lance to me.

No it grows just like that and very slowly until like a year being established then it starts to grow slightly faster. It's often said to look like poision ivy.

That looks like the 'difformis' variety of Bolbotis heteroclita probably taken from the Latin word deformis meaning 'departing physically from the correct shape'

Bolbotis Heteroclita looks like the one in the pic you have loaded.

I was thinking it was difformis like water wisteria is, where the leaves look different depending on where you plant them.
