Plant ideas for 5gal hex?

Just picked up a Marineland 5gal hex at a thrift store today for eight bucks, figured I could do something with it. I have a bunch of narrow leaf sag and java fern in another tank, so I'm sure some of that will be shared. Any other plant ideas? I'm thinking anubias, maybe a crypt or two. Stock is probably going to be one dwarf puffer. Any ideas would be appreciated.

9 watt incandescent. Came with the tank.

Plants don't really thrive under incandescent, try and get a small fluorescent or CLF, under 15 watts.

If you buy light bulbs I use 6,500K full spectrum. You can use other Kelvin ratings...that is a common spectrum as it's similar to sunlight. Not too blue or too red.

Good to know, I wouldn't have thought to look at that. Any other tips on light selection?

If you hadn't know already the Hex 5 gallon has a 15 watts maximum on the bulb. So look for something in that range.

Saw that when researching the tank a bit. Thanks.

Any plant ideas to fill in the tank a bit more? Have the Java ferns and sag in there to start the cycle.

Anubias or crypts ? Maybe Bacopa or Ludwigia sp ?
