You would have to get a different 18 inch bulb. Something with a higher wattage and around 6500k

I can't find anything more than 15 watts, but here's a 6500k bulb.

My 20 gal high has a 24" dual 24W Nova Extreme T5HO fixture from Current USA. Would highly recommend it- great fixture and it would put you into med-high light w/o being so high that you create the need for C02.

java moss,its suited for all kinds of lighting.

i have aponogetons which look great and i have 20 watts over a 29 gallon.i also have 2 species of anubius and wisteria

I've gown java fern, anubias, and Echinodorus amazonicus under that wattage. All are all usually available at your local Petco/Petsmart. Some Crypts as well as java moss are good choices as well.

i google imaged those plants. i like the looks of them alot! Ill give them try for now. I have some brown java moss on a coconut shell. will it turn green again?

Depends on why it turned brown. Java moss is a pretty prolific grower though..I'd give it some time.
