i have a 20 gallon sandy bottom tank at the front of the tank is most of my sand and is well planted but behind i want to put taller plants i cannot put sand behind because my blue lobster keeps moving it can i put taller plants in pots and what should i put in the pots not to tecnical i am a novice thanks

What kind of substrate do you have at the rear of the tank? If you've got enough substrate for plants, I can't imagine a crayfish would move enough of it to uproot all the plants.

That said, yes, you can keep plants in pots. Plain terra cotta pots are an option. To keep things simple, fill them with your tank substrate.

its sand and if any goes round the back he spends all his time moving it i have some horse faced loaches so i dont want to put any stony stuff round there would just sand in the pots do it
