Plant spots

I was just wandering if these were good spots for live plant or if they need to be closer the the sand? Please help! No body answered my last post on this last week!!

I'm glad someone answered you. I sure don't know the answer. One of my amazon swords looks great and the other has several brown leaves. Beats me how these things work!
 
This could work but java ferns root VERY slowly so if your trying to get them to root to the rocks it will take a while.
