Hello All,

I went on a month long vacation (donated my fishes). I turned off the filter, but set timer for lights to 4 + 5 hrs a day.

After I came back, few things happened:
1. Water had reduced to half - No surprise
2. Rotala Indica took over the aquarium - No surprise
3. Found a new species of plant in aquarium.
4. Found a LOT OF baby Ramshorn snails. I am getting rid of them via carrot
5. Water was hazy. I did partial change but it's been a week, the water is still not clear.

Rest everything is back to normal. But water is still hazy. Can someone plz suggest what can be the issue?

Thanks,

Water born algae or bacteria.

If large, frequent water changes don't clear it up, you can try a small UV sterilizer.
