a dual t5ho on a 10g would be extreme overkill. It helps to have a few inches of substrate for heavy rooting plants like swords and crypts. The pot idea works great for smaller tanks.

You could maybe manage dual t5ho's with tons of plants, pressurized co2, and steady ferts, but the balance would be difficult to achieve.

ok so i toook the moss looking stuff off the plant so there's only roots but now the dirtunder it has gotten all over my substrate! arg annoyed
