Can I grow watercress in my heated freshwater aquarium

Wikipedia says its "aquatic or semi-aquatic" so take that how you want. I wouldn't try it

Just that the fact that it is "or semi-aquatic"

Don't want to have it planted and it start dieing because it is not fully aquatic.

While watercress can be submerged it does best with only roots in water. It also does best in cooler water so our tank temps usually don't bode well for it. It also needs adequate flow when submerged. You can try it but watch it carefully incase it starts to rot. With all the other plants available I wouldn't mess with it.
