There are black spots on the anubias, is that an algae and how do I get rid of it?

We need to know a lot more about your tank before we can give you any useful information. Light, co2, ferts, age, etc, are all important to know,

That being said, ludwigia inclination sp cuba can be a persnickety plant about a number of things, especially co2. It was the first to die when I was had undiagnosed co2 issues.

The tank is about three month old, I am running DIY co2, I have odyssea ho t5 and stock t8 that I've been running for 12 hours a day I just started to use florish twice a week and flourish excel every other day about a week ago

I just put in API root tabs yesterday and also it is a dirted tank

Well first you can cut your light down to 8-9 hours. You dont need it on for 12h, it just grows algae

How big of a tank is this?

I also highly doubt that Flourish twice a weak will be sufficient for a CO2+high light tank.

It's a 29 gallon

Should I take off the 15 watt t8, the tank is at just over 2 watts per gallon with the t8

What would happen if I ditched the DIY co2

I put a double layer of screen under the t5 and cut back to 9 hours seems to be helping

Good idea. Have you removed the T8? You definitely don't need it.

No I haven't i like the look of the pink bulb and it covers front to back better with it, the algae seem to be in control so i will leave it for now and see how it goes. Thank you for the advise.

Trimmed my tank today and added java fern. More plants more better. Lol
