Plants turning brown

Ok I'll do that. How about the anubias? Do not trim?
 
Try taking it out and cleaning the leaves with a soft brush, like a tooth brush. Or are you convinced it is def. not algae?

I don't think it is algae. I tried to rub it off but it wouldn't come off. The sides are brown and there tiny spots that loss some of the green color. Like when you pinch a leaf.
 
hmmm, ok. The rhizome of the anubias is not planted right?

You can trim the worst of the leaves, but leave some.

I actually put some on a rock and driftwoods last week. None of the anubias are on the substrate because I thought that what's turning the leaves brown. I'll trim the worst of the leaves and try to clean it again. Thanks!
