so i was just thinking and decided id start a thread for people to talk about maintaining planted ecosystems.

such as my 29 gallon 2 otocinclus catfish, one spotted cory cat 13 neon tetras and 3 silver hatchet fish. the otocinclus catfish eat the algae and the cory catfish cleans the bottom. not only do they maintain an effective system but they help me keep the tank pristine.

also my 36 gallon bow front planted tank 4 otocinclus catfish, 3 cory catfish, 2 lime green kile fish and 6 rainbows.

id love to hear and see others planted ecosystems. *be sure to list your stock and how they function. maybe this can help others build.

90gal heavily planted (low-med), 3 lg pcs of bogwood,

1 needle nose gar
9 sunburst platys (6 females)
6 ottos
2 flying foxes
2 zebra nerite snails
2 bamboo shrimp
1 farlowella cat
1 featherfin cat
6 ghost shrimp

I have a great clean up crew

The needle nose does not bother the ottos or platys. The platys reproduce and supply food for my needle nose.
