Hi folks this is my first post on this site :) So hello to all :D I was wondering how long should i put plants in a solution of potassium permanganate and should i put the roots in ?Also i take it the plants will need a good rinse after how many good rinses should i give them? Thanks for any reply's

From what I could find on the internet, you should soak them in a solution of 1/2 teaspoon per gallon for about 10 minutes. They say it is safer for the plants than bleach. Potassium permanganate is purple so it should be easy to see when it is all rinsed off. After rinsing, I would soak them in water with extra water conditioner added before putting them in the tank.

Aquatronics puts out a med called Flukes Control. It is pure Potassium Permangenate.
