potted plants

My order just came today. One came in a pot even though I didn't order any potted plants. Anyways do I just leave them in there or eventually do I need to take them out, the plant is water sprite [acronym:e8b6ac14e6="By the way"]btw[/acronym:e8b6ac14e6].

Take it out of the pot, like so:
Cut the pot away with scissors or a knife carefully, then untangle the roots of the plant from the planting medium they use (typically looks like filter pad material). You don't really want the pot or material in your tank. Since it's water sprite, it won't matter much if you damage some roots, that stuff grows new roots and leaves very quickly. Still, being careful is always a good idea.

Hope everything is great with your new plants!

Also water sprite can be kept as a floating plant.
If the plants roots are over 1/4 of an inch long trim them to approx this as it will encourage new growth
