I've found a bundle of dwarf sag grown in a pot. Just wondering if I could move that Into my aquarium? Or would it demand sunlight?
Thanks fishfolk

Hello Pir...

So, the plant was grown out of the water like a land plant? If so, and you emerse the pot in the tank, the plant won't grow long term. The potting mixture, if that's what surrounds the plant won't allow any water circulation to provide oxygen to the roots and the plant essentially drowns. You may be able to remove the plant and rinse off all the potting soil from the roots and emerse the roots only. For best growth, it will need an air stone under the roots for good water circulation and a source of oxygen.

I wouldn't be able to use an air stone because of my substrate (sand). Or could I?:0
