Quick question - Plant Food?

What do you guys use for your plants such as plant food?
I recently used these tablets i bought at pet smart i threw out the box but it made my water cloud up bad so i used the liquid "clear water" to clear up my tank but it hasnt took effect what could i do do i wait two days and use it again or do i need to do a water change?
-As plant food i also have co2 booster and aquarium plant food are they really nessasary ? Or what could i use point me in the right direction please ?
