Hello, new member here. It's been years since I investigated putting together a heavily planted freshwater tank. Are there good books or websites that cover all the things needed, brands, prices?

Lighting, CO2, PH, and all the other things necessary for really beautiful plants?

Thank you.

Amano's books are great, but mostly for photos and inspiration for aquascaping.

Low-tech: "Ecology of the planted Aquarium" Diana Walstad.

I don't have a good high-tech book, and don't really know of one.

"Planted Tanks and the "Silent Cycle" by Jared Weinberger" Check into this guy, he comes recommended to me, but I haven't read his work.

http://www.thekrib.com/ Really good website of archived material on setting up planted aquaria.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, all of you for the advice and links. I found several good books at Amazon, and a lot of good links. Now all I have to do is make the commitment to invest in a beautiful tank and a healthy hobby.

Dan
