Regarding Java Fern

I have a tank with plastic plants, and a java fern. Its still fairly small, came from pet smart about a month ago. I does it with a bit of flourish excel every third waster change or so. I know its a slow growing plant, but is there, perhaps, a way to speed its growth u a bit?

I use root tabs and liquid frets and it's maybe a few inches bigger than when I bought it. If you want a fast growing plant than go with water sprite. It has grown for a small clipping to the top of my tank within a month. That's with just liquid frets no root tabs.
