I am finally planting my tank. I have a few plants I know that need them. I was wondering what people use. I have metracide 14 for carbon and leaf zone from api. any advice is welcome.

Get hold of some osmocote granules. Some will have blue wetting agent (depending on what kind or country you are in). Avoid those. You can then use gel caps and fill them with osmocote or freeze some in ice or wrap in a single layer of tissue paper. Insert one or two near each heavy root feeder or every few inches in a heavily planted tank. Lasts a few months.
