Rotala

So i bought some Rotala from my LFS a while back. Been in the tank for about 9 months... At first, it looked spectacular. That was my first step into planted tanks. Also, its my failure. That rotala is a now grown bigger, but the leaves are somewhat brown, and slimy. You can check out my plant thread Plant Plans for my planting info. I have low light. Im guessing immediately that rotala is a high lighting plant. Am i right? Anyway to spruce it up to make it look amazing? Should i take it out?

Depends on the type of rotala. Some will grow fine in low light, some won't. Do you know what kind you have? Or, maybe a picture?

Believe me, id post a pic if i had one. I have a camera, but no cord to connect it to my computers CPU.

I know the feeling all too well. Here's a good place to ID it. PlantGeek.net - Plant Guide as long as it's one of those 4... rotundifolia seems to be one of the more common... but it also does pretty good in the higher end of low light, verging on medium.

well, at least how it looked when i bought it. Not now though after its metamorphosis...
