So I have 2 ruffled swords that I mentioned in my previous post: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f20/my-in-wall-75-gallon-planted-tank-2-0-a-365623.html

The bigger one has flowered and I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it (other than cut it off).

Any ideas? I've never had an aquarium plant break the surface and flower like this.

You can just cut it off. Eventually they get annoying. I have an aponogeton crispus that will flower once a week if I cut it off. I would much rather it put its energy into leave growth instead of flower shoots.

I would cut it off at the base and see what happens.

Thanks! I’ll take care of that tonight.
