Safe Plant

While i was fishing at a beach with my family today, I couldn't resist picking up some of this plant to bring home (is this even legal). It was in less than a foot of water and was creating almost a carpet. I'm not positive on what it is, but my guess is its Najas flexilis, Slender Naiad. I'd be interested in trying this in my tank, as it seemed to grow in a nice way in the water, and I'm in need in plants. If I do go through with it, should I do a bleach dip or something similar?

K, i don't have hydrogen peroxide, so ill to a 1:20 bleach/ water dip. If I have the name right, it should be related to guppy grass or a plant line that that is commonly used in aquariums
