I have a 55 & 45 on a double stand. The 55 (top) has two 18" 15w t8 life-glo bulbs. That tank houses 19 African cichlids. The bottom tank has a 48" 40w t8 aqua-glo & 48" 32w t8 Philips alto? (Previous owner said it was life-glo). The 45 (bottom) currently has one lonely angel whom I'm giving away. This is going to become a medium-heavily planted tank. It will become a home to some new fish but not quite sure what I want yet. My question is should I consider swapping the lighting ? Will it be better for my soon to be planted tank to do so or possible worse?

I am considering just swapping the lighting (48" fixture on 55 & the two 24" fixtures on the 45) and getting better bulbs for my soon to be planted tank. If I do that what are some recommendations for bulbs?

Here is a somewhat local supplier I recently found(30 min drive). Most of their products cost 50% less the my local tropical fish store. This link is to their T8 bulb selection if anyone wants to suggest something that they carry.

I will attach photos of the bulbs I have.

Thanks in advance!!!

I was reading on alternatives for the lighting the other day; I was planning on buying a fixture from amazon once tax returns come in, but it's still more than I care to pay, and a lot of people said they have been using bulbs like these and they have done perfectly fine.

Still looking for some help! Should I or should I not swap the two tanks lighting?
