So what's the deal with Tahitian Moon Sand?

Good or bad for bottom dwellers? I want some cories in the planted tank, help eat some of the stuff on the bottom, and live up this tank. The plants are nice, but I want some movement going on.

I've heard it's too sharp for bottom dwellers, but it feels alright to me. Opinions? Thanks.

I have cories and plecos in a tank with Tahitian Moon Sand and never had a problem.
