How useful is having a spray bar in a planted tank?

I tilt mine downward so co2 bubble get drifted around. I have my diffusers set below mine.

I love mine! It does a really good job for circulation in my 75. Enough that I don't have dead spot and all my plants have movement without extra powereads

You can tilt the up for good surface agitation if you want to as well, as long as you're not splashing. It's a balancing act. They're also good for spreading out flow, so you don't have a small area of concentrated current but still have the same level of bulk flow.
