Strange growth on java fern

Almost looks like a bean sprout and moss?? Anyone have any insight into this not so lovely intruder?
 
Looks like it might be a baby java fern. They grow right from the middle of a parent leaf, and detach when try are ready. Then just float around until they snag something and start growing there
 
Sweet! So I could wait until it detaches and move to another tank?
 
Yes you could one of mine did this before it is pretty cool!
 
Yep java ferns do that all the time! Windlov grow their plantlets from the tips and it ends up looking all kinds of weird! Here's a pic of mine
